Description
The main idea of the project was to build a small but very functional houseboat which could be transported on a boat-carrying trailer.
Wheelhouse and cocpit
Despite its small size, the boat looks very spacious thanks to locating a cockpit and a roomy wheelhouse on the same level, which creates one big space divided only by a big glass sliding door.
A glass wheelhouse allows the steersman and the whole crew to see the surroundings both during the cruise and a stopover, e.g. when preparing and eating meals together. The wheelhouse is covered by a roof extended to a stern; under the roof it is possible to fix a tent – cabrio which covers the whole cockpit.
On the left part of the wheelhouse there is a dinette with a table which can be put down and thus make space for an additional berth. On the right part of the wheelhouse there is a seat for the steersman and a kitchenette with a sink, a cooker and a fridge.
A cockpit is fitted with seats in the shape of the letter “L” and a table. It also has an exit at the stern closed with a swimming ladder on the right side. At the bottom of the cockpit as well as in the seats there are covers of seat lockers.
Cabin
In the cabin there is a comfortable double bow berth, a bathroom with a wash basin and a toilet, a cupboard and a double berth at the stern.
Hull
The hull of the boat is hydrodynamically optimized for displacement sailing at the speed of maximum 15 kph. At the bottom of the hull, apart from the keel batten, there are two side keels which protect the bottom, improve directional stability
and manoeuvrability, and reduce side-to-side swaying. The draught of the hull at the bow was minimized in order to be able to reach a shallow shore more easily. Inside the bottom of the hull at the stern a semi-tunnel was built in order to conceal and protect the power screw.
On the sides of the hull there are big longitudinal windows which bring light into the cabin and the bathroom. On the roof of the wheelhouse and the fore deck there are hatches which provide ventilation and light.
Drive
JANMOR 700 is adapted to the drive from an outboard motor or a Diesel engine of 10 – 60 HP. Since the maximum speed does not exceed 15 kph.
Design and production
The boat was designed by an experienced Centkowski & Denert Design Studio which has created over 140 various designs of boats and yachts, including a range of motorboats, like Merry Fisher and Merry Fisher Marlin produced in Poland for a well-known French company – Jeanneau.
As it pertains to the quality of laminates, the company responsible is JANMOR – the oldest, privately owned Polish shipyard which is known for its reliability, relying on its production from a professional staff, using only the most modern technologies and highest quality materials.
The highest standard of equipment and interior finishing – this is the result of the work of a reputable company named Janukowicz Jacht, which gives the expert final touches to the boat.
The end result from the skilled workmanship of these teams is the solid and excellent quality houseboat Janmor 700 available at an affordable and competitive price.
